7月4日下午，计算机与控制学院夏季学期《智能监控技术及应用系列讲座》的第三讲在中关村N106教室举行。本次讲座特邀熊瑞勤研究员以“图像/视频恢复及增强处理”为题目，对图像和视频恢复的应用场景进行了介绍，并着重对图像和视频恢复的算法进行了详细的讲解。在讲解的过程中，熊瑞勤研究员与参与讲座的老师和同学进行了深入的讨论。课程的结尾，熊瑞勤研究员向大家演示了该算法对图像和视频恢复的效果，生动的讲解让同学们对这一技术产生了浓厚的兴趣。 讲座的第二部分，特邀许继征博士以“高效视频编码技术”为题目，对数字视频发展趋势，视频编码标准的发展历程做了基本介绍，并着重对高效视频编码的方法，与其它编码方式的效率对比进行了详细讲解。课程的结尾，许继征博士还用程序向大家展示了基于模型的视频编码的效率，同学们在讲座临近结束时纷纷提问，与许继征博士进行了互动。 熊瑞勤，北京大学信息科学技术学院研究员，博士生导师。熊博士2008年于中国科学院计算技术研究所获工学博士学位，从师张亚勤，2000年于中国科技大学计算机科学与技术系获本科学位。主要研究方向是视频编码及处理，曾获得微软学者荣誉称号、2005年获得VCIP最佳论文 奖，2011年获得VCIP最佳论文奖，至今在国际高水平期刊发表10多篇文章，在国际会议发表20多篇文章。 王耀威，博士，北京理工大学信息与电子学院，讲师，北京大学数字视频编解码技术国家工程实验室客座研究员。主要研究方向为多媒体分析，智能监控，机器学 习。2005年在中国科学院研究生院获得博士学位。研究方向为基于内容的图像检索。已发表学术论文20 余篇。目前主要研究兴趣是智能监控。 许继征，Dr. Jizheng Xu received the B.S. and M. S. degrees in computer science from the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC), and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from Shanghai Jiaotong University, China. He joined Microsoft Research Asia in 2003 and now is a Lead Researcher at MSRA. His research interests include image and video representation, media compression, and communication. He has been an active contributor to ISO/MPEG and ITU-T video coding standards. He has over 20 technical proposals adopted by H.264/AVC, H.264/AVC scalable extension and High Efficiency Video Coding standards. He chaired and co-chaired the ad-hoc group of exploration on wavelet video coding of MPEG from January 2005 to April 2006, and the ad-hoc group on screen content coding, the ad-hoc group on parsing robustness and the ad-hoc group on lossless coding of JCT-VC in 2010 and 2011. He has authored and co-authored over 80 conference and journal refereed papers. He co-organized and co-chaired special sessions on scalable video coding, directional transform, high quality video coding at various conferences. He has over 20 U.S. patents granted or pending in image and video coding. He has been an IEEE senior member since 2010. |
